poor biscuit.

June 5, 2009

i hate to complain about nice weather – but we’re breaking records this week. today it was 92,totally crazy for early june in the NW. i love hot weather, but once a baby is involved it kinda sucks! even in just a diaper, the poor munchkin is sweating. she runs hot as it is, and this weather isn’t helping. we seem to be getting a break this evening, with strong winds that are cooling the place down. maybe we will all get good rest tonight with the windows open.

harper and i went to visit the bilbreys today. our visit was cut short because little H was having some fussy moments. i think it’s just the weather, but she just wasn’t herself. it could be teething, too. still nothing visible, but the drool is getting crazier. although she has been drooling for months now at an accelerated rate and still no toofers to speak of, so who knows. poppy is 7 weeks old and as cute as can be! she is filling out, getting chub and smiling. love that kid. we did our best to squish the babes together and it was awesome, until harper starting waving wildly. poor poppy!

we’re still working on waving, and man is it cute. she was also pushing herself around the living room floor backwards today. she tried green beans this afternoon and while she didn’t clamp her mouth shut like she did for peas, she still didn’t seem all that keen on them. but i have a feeling the beans are going to work out better after a few more tries. i’m gonna do sweet potatoes and carrots on my next batch and i have a feeling those will go over well. the baby cubes are super awesome and i totally recommend them to anyone whos going to make and freeze their own baby food.

well, heres to hoping this weather cools down a bit. for the nuggets sake!

Of all the different veggies I would introduce to my babies, squash was the hands down favorite. I bet Harper will like those sweet potatoes:) Keep cool! We had thunderstorms last night. That helped bring the temps down here. Who needs tv when the best show is right out the front window?!
